Where We Live and Work

The Richmond Fed is based in the Fifth Federal Reserve District, which includes the Carolinas, Maryland, Virginia, most of West Virginia and our nation’s capital.

We count ourselves lucky to have a presence in three of the most dynamic cities in the country—our headquarters in Richmond, Virginia, as well as offices in Baltimore, Maryland, and Charlotte, North Carolina.

The Richmond Fed also is the proud home of the Federal Reserve’s National IT organization—a nationwide team delivering technology solutions and support across the Federal Reserve System. Many National IT employees are located in Richmond, while others are based across the U.S. at other Federal locations.
